Learn moreWhy Altus
Real psychiatry, not a five-minute refill
Too many people wait months for an appointment, then get a rushed visit and a prescription. We built Altus to do it differently — quick access to care, and clinicians who take the time to get it right.
Fast access
New patients are typically seen within the week — in person or by video.
Whole-person evaluations
Your history, goals, sleep, health and life context all shape your treatment plan.
Measurement-based care
We track progress with validated tools, so we know what’s working and adjust quickly when it isn’t.
Care that connects
We coordinate with your therapist, primary care doctor and treatment programs — with your consent.

Common questions
Things people ask before booking
How quickly can I be seen?
Most new patients are seen within the same week, and often sooner. Book online to see current openings or call (555) 555-5555 and we’ll find the earliest time that works for you.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly. If your insurance plan requires a referral, our team will let you know when we verify your benefits.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Yes. Many visits, especially follow-ups, can be done by secure video from home. Some evaluations and certain medications may require an in-person visit, and we’ll let you know if that applies.
What’s the difference between psychiatry and therapy?
Psychiatric clinicians diagnose mental health conditions and manage medication. Therapists help you build skills and work through challenges in regular talk sessions. Many people benefit from both — and at Altus, both are coordinated in one place.
What if medication hasn’t worked for me before?
That’s common, and it’s a good reason to get a fresh evaluation. We’ll review what you’ve tried, look at the full picture and discuss options that are a better fit.
